Hello kurisutaru, i have a problem, i can launch the game properly with the voice changer and all that, but when i close elsword and try to open it again (with or without your voice changer program) it makes me dowload all the original files again, is there anyway to stop re-downloading the original files after i re-launch elsword?

That you haven’t click Restore yet. To use Restore function make sure you click Backup first when your Elsword client were unmodified

Unmodified = Official Client State
How to check ? Just use official patcher, If the patcher dont download anything that mean your client unmodified *official state*
‘i have to click change again before launching it again’
Click restore if you already have backup the official one, so it will restore the client to official state and bypass the patcher

Umm, whenever i press back-up and/or restore buttons it changes nothing and makes me download again, i don’t think i’ve done anything wrong though

Did you already set your backup folder ?
And are you sure your backup file were original / unmodified one ?

I’m pretty sure i selected the unmodified files on the back-up, but do i have to create a new back-up folder with a copy of the original files or selecting the back-up section on the normal data folder (all of the original files, not only the voice ones)

Just launch the client with patcher and close the game, then use backup function. after that if you want to play dont forget to click restore

Just take a quick check for Elesis Voice [data145.kom]
Their hash were different, but when I check the inside all files same they just repack it *dunno why got repacked*
Take a look at the size *ignore the date and time, since when date and time always use time when it unpacked*

Because you haven’t use restore, if you want to use restore please do backup first.

First of all, I apologize in advance for asking this idiotic question.
I’m playing Elsword IDN (at least intent to), and have been trying to change the voice into Japanese.
Like any other idiot, I got this error: ./data093.kom(ELSWORD_EMOTION_ANGRY.OGG
Now, I’ve been reading the comments above about how to fix this, but still unsure of how to actually fix it. I use Chiniese program “els_KOM” to open the .kom files, but completely clueless of what should I do after that. I’ve tried to edit both IDN data092.kom and data093.kom and overwrite it with Japanese data092.kom and data093.kom files, no luck.

ELS_KOM.exe ? Just open -> drag and drop the kom file to window area of ELS_KOM.exe, wait until kanji text from red to green, then check the same folder with ELS_KOM.exe
For repacking just drag the folder to ELS_KOM.exe

I got some problem here, FYI, Elsword ID now uses OGG files lol, all of it I think (I just check Elsword, Aisha, and Rena though)
and here, when I try to patch like usual, the game didn’t start, instead I got a message box,
“kom loading failed”
Maybe you can give me a solution?

I’m having the same problem with “kom loading failed” on NA Elsword too after the newest patch that included 3.0 Henir.
I redid the procedures to apply voice change but each time run into same error. I also found it weird that after that “kom loading failed I try relaunching elsword and it ends up redownloaded the kom files even after I restored.. Confused.. Any idea what causing?

Ugh, actually i think this has something to do with the bypass thingie: after failing to load with your patcher i downloaded several more and they all failed with the message ”kom loading failed”

left explorer show content My edited kom files, Right explorer content is ElswordID kom content (at least same ammount, same content), and middle box show an error when I click Change! after Gameguard pic dissapear
Maybe something how about by passing game guard?
(long ago before patch error box appear only “data096 failed to load”, but now “kom loading failed”?, thats weird, usually error loading has specification where to error but now it didn’t)

I already do repacking and simply just got popup on error box ingame without text, and NPC sound were diappeared
Character too, because on Elsword Japan, when you click your character there is a sound

I’m just wondering how updated are your voice files because the Japanese server obviously have their own updates for the files; it could potentially make some actions made by the character silence if you know what I’m talking about. (PS Im not using your voice changer program just your Japanese voice files, and I got it working)

Basically, he’s questioning how up-to-date your JP voice pack is. He wonders if certain voice clips were missing, is the gist of it.
I’m having kom loading trouble myself on NA server, though I use my own patcher instead. From what I can see, they did some optimization/wrecking on X-Trap, so the amount of time allowed for the patcher to finish working is shortened. Now you only have enough time to apply a single file before X-Trap noticed that the files are altered. So if the kom loading fails and the game crashes, it means you’re busted (though not completely). The next time you start up the game, it’ll automatically download files from the server even if you have already restored the files.
I suspect this is probably just a side effect of whatever KoGeesus has done lately. NA players have been reporting kom files reading errors for like a whole day after the latest update.

I tested using Elsword IDN that use GameGuard, I just replace data095.kom that Rena one and dont get any KOM Error, I got kom error if I use repacked kom file. Basically they change something inside the x2.exe [impossible to get caught as what you say if I only copy 2MB right ?]
For up-to-date I only update Voice file if needed to be updated. I always take a look what Elsword Japan patch their kom files, as long there is nothing change on KOM that listed as Voice File why I bother to update ?
I use compare tools for Latest client and client before patch for checking what they change during the patch.
So summary about up to date files, I just ‘feel funny’ when someone ask about those file while I only play at Elsword Japan
TL;DR Don’t mean to be rude but don’t use it if you can do better
Other side : Just pray for KOG to revert those new thingy inside x2.exe

Me too, playing with JP voices for so long turns KR voices into a thousand tiny needles in my ears ;-;
I’m using a ‘customized’ patcher of manuss because I found your site a bit too late ^ ^! Before that, I used another version of joecalis, but had to switch because his patcher is limited up to Ara only, and there wasn’t a way to include Elesis voice in it. So I digged up manuss’ patcher and another friend did some tweaking to it so the game automatically start and patch by simply turning the patcher on. It worked for a while, and was easy for further modding. But now, KoG has really done it, so I guess all patchers are stuck for the moment ;-;
